You’re a Marine. That’s all the bonus you need. ..
That’s what the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps recently said.
While many of the service branches offer enlistment bonuses that are tens of thousands of dollars, the Marine Corps does not. At the recent annual West Naval conference, General Eric Smith said the the Corps will handle recruiting challenges in their own way.
Smith was quoted as saying, “Your bonus is that you get to call yourself a Marine. That’s your bonus … there’s no dollar amount that goes with that.”
